How It Works
Networkfleet™ is the first commercially available aftermarket system that dynamically measures and reports the status of a vehicle's diagnostic performance. Once installed in a vehicle, our patented system collects diagnostic data from a host vehicle's on-board computer and location information from a global positioning system (GPS) and transmits these data over a conventional wireless network to an Internet-based computer system. The computer system analyzes the data and posts the results on a secure web site. (www.networkcar.com).
Benefits for Fleet Managers
- Online access to vehicle location information
- A sophisticated reporting suite
- Real-time e-mail alerts of vehicle problems and service milestones
Similarly, the software system includes calculations that analyze location information to determine the vehicle's location (using a map and numerical street address), vehicle tracks, driving directions, and landmarking applications. All analyses are done either automatically or following user-initiated commands.
In recent months, the company has received Telematics Update Magazine's "Telematics Award for Top Commercial Vehicle Solution", Frost and Sullivan's "Technology Leadership Award - Remote Vehicle Diagnostics, the EPA's "Clean Air Excellence Award" for our Remote Smog Check Technology, and the "Innovations Design and Engineering Showcase Award" from the Consumer Electronics Association.
In 2003, Networkcar received R&D Magazine's "Top 100 Award" for introducing one of the most technologically significant products of the past year.
